WTP (WATER TREATMENT PLANT)
WTP (WATER TREATMENT PLANT)
Water treatment is any process that improves the quality of water to make it appropriate for a specific end-use. The end use may be drinking, industrial water supply, irrigation, river flow maintenance, water recreation or many other uses, including being safely returned to the environment.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF WATER TREATMENT PLANT
- IRON REMOVAL PLANT
- FLOURIDE REMOVAL PLANT
- SOFTENING PLANT
- REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANT
- ULTRA-FILTRATION PLANT
Dual Media Filter
It is used to remove the suspended solids
Application:
- Surface Water Application
- Pre- filtration for RO, Softener
- Drinking Water
- Tertiary Treatment for STP & ETP
Activated Carbon Filter
It is used to remove Odour , Colour , Free Chlorine & Micro bacterial Organism
Application:
- Food, Beverages & Breweries Industry
- Drinking Water pre-filtration
- Tertiary Treatment for STP & ETP
- Pre- filtration for RO, Softener
Iron Removal Filter
It is used to remove the iron particles
Application:
Drinking Water
Pre- filtration for RO, Softener
Surface Water Application
Process Industries
Softener Plant
Softening by ion exchange resin is also known as Base Exchange softening. It is the most common and probably the easiest method of removing hardness (that is calcium & magnesium) from water and renders the water suitable for utility purpose.
Application:
- Production of water fit for domestic purposes
- Production of water fit for industrial purposes eg. Boiler , Cooling Towers
- Pretreatment of RO feed water
Demineralization Plant
Demineralization or deionization is the process of removing dissolved salts from water by using Ion Exchange Resin. Basically Ion exchange demineralization is a two step process with both Cation and Anion resin. The raw water called influent water is first passed through the Cation resin bed containing SAC Resin in H + form. Ca , Mg & Na are removed and the salts are converted to their respective acids .
Application:
- Treating Boiler Feed water
- Production of water for industrial use
- Production of water for Power Plant Generators
Ultra filtration
Ultra filtration is a separation process using membranes to remove Suspended solids and high-molecular-weight solutes.
Application:
- Pretreatment of RO Systems
- Surface Water Application
Reverse Osmosis (RO)
Reverse Osmosis process is used in removal of dissolved salts from water. Semi permeable polymeric membranes are used in this process.
Application:
- Treating bore water, sea water, Corporation water
- Treating brackish water, Tap water, Generator feed water
- Treating effluent water
- Production of Drinking water
